What
do I get for my $250 entry fee? A REALLY GREAT WEEKEND of course. Your entry fee is a tax deductible
contribution to The Bridgehampton Historical Society, as allowed by law.
Each rally or tour entry includes lunch for two during the event, and
admits driver, navigator, and one guest each to all the social events held
during the weekend. This even includes the Bridgehampton Concours Sunday morning. Drivers and navigators may
attend Rally Class Friday afternoon.
What
if I sign up and cannot attend? If you sign up for the Rally or Tour and are unable to attend we will
refund $200 of the entry fee, but if you simply don't show up, the fee is
not refundable. If you withdraw several weeks before the event, we will
refund the entire entry fee if asked.
Are
all cars 1959 and earlier accepted in the rally? No. The rally is for sporting automobiles, and the rally committee
determines eligibility.
Are
all cars 1969 and earlier accepted in the tour? Yes! The tour is totally for fun. Even Motorcycles are welcome!
What
if my car was manufactured after the elegible date?
If your entry is essentially unchanged from an eligible vehicle, the
rally committee will probably admit you. These decisions are made on a
case by case basis so e-mail us with any questions that you have.
Why
should I send my license, registration, & insurance information in
advance? It really makes our lives easier. Remember if we don't have this
information our insurance company won't let us allow you to participate in either the rally or the tour. Let's plan
ahead!
Is
there a rain date? No, the Road Rally and Tour are held rain or shine. Come prepared for
anything! In the event of a washout the Concours
will not be held.
Explain
the difference between the rally and the tour? The rally is a timed competitive event. The tour is simply for the fun
of taking a drive and supporting BHHS. Both events follow the same route,
but the tourists generally return directly to BHHS after lunch while the
rally cars have another 50 miles and several timing stops to go. You might
want to check out both events here on the website before you make a
choice.
What
if I want to have passengers? The Rally committee may allow passengers in rally cars, and of course
tour cars can carry as many people as have legal seats. These additional
passengers can purchase a lunch ticket for $25 at the Historical Society.
What
is the Bridgehampton Concours? Each year we try to make the rally and tour more of a fun weekend. On
Friday afternoon we will again have a Rally Class and timing practice, and
on Sunday, we will have the Concours. You'll
find more information in the Concours section of
the website.
