Bridgehampton Historical Society’s
2010 Vintage Automobile Poker Rally

Our annual Vintage Automobile Poker Rally is scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2010. We hope you’ll join us as we once again celebrate Bridgehampton’s fabulous racing heritage. Cars built in 1959 and earlier are welcome to participate.

The Rally will commence at noon, with cars leaving at two minute intervals. The Rally entry fee is $75 and benefits the Bridgehampton Historical Society. The Rally will follow a prescribed route of approximately 60 miles and should take under three hours to complete. It will feature the “Old Course” of 4 miles through Bridgehampton, where sports car racing took place from 1949 through 1953. The Rally will occur rain or shine.

Courtesy of the Bridgehampton Racing Heritage Group, our Engine Barn will once again house a small but lively Bridgehampton Race Circuit exhibition for those folks who treasure memories of the Bridgehampton Track.

At dusk, a special drive-in showing of the 1961 racing film, The Green Helment, will be shown. Admission to the drive-in is $5/car for non-rally cars, and free to rally cars.

To enjoy the Rally we suggest you make sure your car is in good running order, dress for the weather, and bring along a cell phone. For our insurance purposes, we do require that Rally participants submit copies of their driver’s license, car registration and insurance certificate, as well as a release signed by the driver on behalf of the driver and all passengers.

Coffees, bagels and pastries will be available during check-in and a box lunch will be provided for Rally drivers and navigators.
